Goals
1. Establish a flagship research program in the field of laser, optics and spectroscopy
2. Increase participation of scientists from the African continent
3. Increase industrial participation in the SAIP subgroup’s activities.
4. Find sponsorship for keynote speaker for every SAIP conference
5. Increase student numbers in the field of laser, optics and spectroscopy
